It’s WordCamp Time!

Tomorrow is the big day! Here are some last-minute reminders.

Location

The Royale Chulan Bukit Bintang hotel is located in the Bukit Bintang neighborhood, an area famous for its nightlife. It is on Jalan Bukit Bintang, near the corner of Jalan Pudu.

The closest transit stations are:

  • Imbi, on the Monorail line
  • Bukit Bintang, on the MRT

Note: There is another hotel, not far from ours, with nearly the same name (“Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur”). This is not our venue.

Please be sure to find Royale Chulan Bukit Bintang.

Parking

We encourage folks to take public transport if you can. But if that’s not possible, you can park at the hotel. The daily flat rate is RM8 but we will be validating your tickets for free parking as long as our budget will allow. Which means…

Show Up Early

Registration opens at 8am! Help us get things started on time by showing up early. There is free breakfast and coffee as your reward! And to help speed things up…

Download the App

Get the app for faster check-in, alerts, and managing your conference schedule.

Most importantly…

Be Nice!

WordCamp is a volunteer-organized, casual event. We expect everyone to be friendly and patient, and we remind you that we are all obliged to follow the Code of Conduct, which can be summarized as Be Nice to Everyone. If you witness any violations of the code, please notify a volunteer or organizer immediately. You will be able to recognize us as we’ll be wearing the WordCamp KL 2018 t-shirts.

Have Fun!

Let’s have a great WordCamp KL!

Download the WordCamp KL App!

We’ve made an app for our event! You can download it here:

The app is FREE, of course, and will help you get the best experience possible at WordCamp Kuala Lumpur.

Enter the email associated with your WCKL ticket, and it will generate a QR code that you can use to register at the event on Saturday. This will help us make the check-in process as smooth and fast as possible.

The entire schedule is listed in the app, and will allow you to bookmark your favorite sessions for easy tracking. You can also read detailed information about WCKL speakers and sponsors.

Having the app will also allow you to receive important update messages from the organizing team directly to your phone – don’t worry, we will use this sparingly! 😀

While it’s not necessary to have the app to enjoy WordCamp KL, we think it will make for a better experience, and we hope you’ll give it a try.

See you on Saturday!

The WordCamp KL 2018 organizing team is excited to announce to you our full event schedule!

Conference Schedule

This year we’ll have 18 sessions, covering a vast range of expertise in a variety of topics. Our speakers will cover topics about marketing, business, WordPress development and of course, blogging.

One of the highlights in this year’s sessions is we’ll have sessions in the Malay language, an effort of the organizing team to bring diversity and some local flavour into the event.

Find your favorite sessions on our schedule. Hope to see you there!

Tip: On the Schedule page, you can mark a session as a favourite by clicking the star icon and then email, share and print the session.
