What is Contributor Day?
WordPress is an open source software project, which means that it relies on volunteers to contribute their time to maintain and advance the project. One of the ways to do that is to get more people involved – that’s where Contributor Day comes in!
Those who are ready to contribute will all meet at DOJO KL on Sunday the 18th (the day after WordCamp KL) where we will be guided in how to give back to WordPress. If you have never contributed before, this is a great chance to learn! If you have experience, you can apply it by helping others get started 🙂
Some examples of things we’ll be doing:
- Setting up your WordPress.org profile and joining the Slack channel
- Replying to open support tickets on WordPress.org
- Testing Gutenberg
- “Un-conference”, impromptu presentations
In addition to all that, FREE LUNCH will be provided!
